Handmade Plush Dogs & Terriers
Where the cats lean watchful, the dogs in this archive are built for company. This collection follows the terriers, greyhounds and shaggy pups made in the Yizcho studio — longer-bodied, longer-eared, and finished with the same hand-stitched detail as the cat dolls.
Several of these pieces were photographed beside the pencil sketches they grew out of, which is the closest thing to a making-of that the studio documents.
Why the dogs are built differently
Dogs carry more visible structure than cats. A greyhound needs a long, balanced body to read correctly; a terrier depends on the shape of the muzzle and the set of the ears. That structure is what makes the dog pieces slower to build and harder to repeat — and the reason each one is photographed from more than one angle.

About this archive
The dogs in this archive are one-of-a-kind, like everything else from the studio. Some were made for fairs, some for private commissions, and all of them are single units that will not be repeated exactly.
Current pieces are listed in the shop. The archive exists so that older work stays visible after it finds a home.
